Rivalries in sports are always good because they push athletes to greater heights. They are also entertaining, so when it came to Friday night’s game versus Reservoir it was only right for a large majority of the school to want to come out to support Atholton’s boys Varsity Basketball team.

The final score of Friday night’s game was 55-47.

Atholton’s boys trailed not too far behind Reservoir for the first three quarters, getting around 11 or so points a quarter. They went into the fourth quarter 35-40. They then went on to score 20 more points in the fourth quarter.

The stands were full of students and parents cheering for their team. When there was less than a minute left, the cheering turned to commotion coming from the Reservoir side as the Reservoir coach was ejected from the game, leading to Reservoir forfeiture.

Currently the boys have a 16-2 record and are on an 8 game win streak. Atholton also currently stands as number one in the county.
