Top 10 “Monster” Horror Movies

A Quiet Place: 7.5/10- The movie was intense and great, but there wasn’t much background to why people weren’t able to talk. When the family found out how to fight the monsters known as Death Angels, the movie got even more interesting.

A Quiet Place Part II: 9/10-  This movie started off with what happened to the town the day the Death Angels showed up. Which is good because it provided a bit of back story. In this movie the sister splits off to find who transmitted a radio signal. She believes there are more people that escaped the Death Angels.

Cloverfield: 1/10- Just a garbage movie I’m sorry to break it to you.

The Mist: 6/10- The movie started off kind of boring, but as it progressed it got intense and suspenseful. Later in the movie people start explaining what’s in the mist, how it got there, and why it was there.

Descent: 5/10- I don’t recommend this movie although it wasn’t bad. There was so much going on in each scene that it was hard to tell what was going on.

The Ritual: 9.5/10- This is a highly recommended movie. It’s about 4 men who hike a mountain in Norway, who come across a strange abandoned cabin in the woods. After staying the night they were all hit with a nightmare given to them by a creature living in the wooded area.

Imaginary: 10/10- Best movie to be released in the year 2024. This one is about an imaginary friend. A young black woman had an imaginary friend as a child, but as she grew up she abandoned it. Now that she’s an adult with a husband and children they are moving back into her childhood home. Somehow the imaginary friend finds its way to her daughter and nobody can see it, but the daughter and Mom could.

The Empty Man: 7/10- This movie was full of good plot twists and suspense. I recommend watching it if you like a lot of suspense and the ending of the movie is so mind blowing you would’ve never seen it coming.

Vivarium: 6/10- This movie starts off a little boring, but if you sit through to see the plot twists and discoveries the young couple make, that boredom will become shocking. While scouting for a new house a young couple are trapped in a neighbor that’s like a completely different dimension. As the movie progresses you get to understand why.

The Silence: 9.5/10- This movie somewhat relates to the Quiet Place, but these flying creatures are called Vesps. They swoop down on whatever, or whoever makes a sound even if it’s just a pen dropping in an empty hall.
