What Is Lucy Shimmers and the Prince of Peace About?
The plot centers on Edgar Ruiz, a hardened criminal, who crosses paths with Lucy Shimmers, a precocious little girl. Their unlikely bond pushes Edgar toward redemption. The title borrows the “Prince of Peace,” a biblical name for Jesus, which signals the film’s faith themes.
The supporting cast includes nurses, doctors, a pastor, and a prison warden. That mix points to a story set partly in hospital and prison settings, where hope gets tested.
