The bug that had players locked out of their islands
The most significant fix in this update targets a rare save data corruption issue tied to the Island Builder feature. In certain cases, using Island Builder would corrupt save data in a way that prevented the game from launching at all during subsequent sessions, effectively locking players out of their islands with no way back in. A crash that came right after resolving concerns
The second notable fix addresses a crash that could happen immediately after a player resolved a Mii character’s concerns. Rather than continuing normally, the game would fail to progress and throw an error that forced it to close. Given that resolving concerns is a routine part of the game’s loop, this one had a reasonable chance of hitting players during regular sessions.
Poster display problems at three locations
Alongside the two more disruptive bugs, the update also corrects a visual issue affecting posters at several locations across the island. Mii characters on posters at the clothing shop, the Ferris wheel, and the news station were not rendering correctly. The fix restores them to their intended appearance.
